Hi Richard, thanks for your I Terrat in our Mariner, Scout! The trailer will be completely ready for the road once I have the springs replaced (they degrade faster as it serves as a cradle in the winter; the yard that does all our work said they would do the work the first week in August — I’ll double check). The trailer travels less than 70 miles per year and is completely washed down after each use, The boat is power washed at the end of each season and bottom-painted at the start of each season, and we have it cleaned and buffed prior to every sailing season. I have had no problems with the centerboard or its mechanisms. I do not sail the boat at night and so there are no cabin lights and I only have attachable/detachable LED battery-powered navigation lights for the hull, nothing on the mast, in case we have trouble getting in by sunset and use the lights with the outboard. Scout is currently moored in Provincetown. Happy to answer any other questions. Tom

Mariner that I keep on thinking that I will upgrade, but as I age, am thinking that I might just buy a newer boat and sell mine "as is". Four quick questions--

would you consider your trailer highway ready, if driven conservatively?

when is the last time it was bottom painted?

do you have a manual bilge pump, and cabin lights on inside, mast lights?

what condition is the centerboard and centerboard pivot pin?

I am in SE Mass, about 40 mins from either bridge, so I can come by anytime on Monday to look at it if you are available. Lastly, I do need to run this by my wife, as I am sure her first reaction will be "But you already have a sailboat!"
